NordicTrack Treadmill Review – Commercial Series

A Truly Amazing Machine – This NordicTrack Treadmill – Commercial Series!

The NordicTrack Treadmill Commercial Series model 1750 is a mind-blowing, astounding exercise contraption.

A 10-inch interactive touchscreen features on-demand interactive workouts – accompanied by some remarkable world renowned personal fitness trainers from all walks of life.  They get you walking, jogging, and running through unlimited scenic global terrains from around the world – while changing your workout speeds and incline angles as they go along – contributing to the most effective training you could ever have.  These guides even get you off the treadmill to do some cross-training regimens – specifically tailored to improve your overall body tone.

NordicTrack 1750 Commercial Series Treadmill

A one-touch control panel accesses a variety of scenarios.

You can access over 16,000 workouts – more than even a body-building professional would ever need.

And, everything is recorded in real-time to keep you abreast of your improvements in intensity, time, and speed.

Individual profiles can be created for up to 4 members of your household – so everyone can participate and enjoy this treadmill!

Incline the treadmill from 3 to 15% – or, decline it by 3% – manually – or, let the live, interactive programs do it for you.

An oversized belt – 5 foot long and 22 inches wide – gives you all the space you need for stretching your running strides to the max.

A super powerful 3.75 CHP (Continuous Duty Horsepower) SMART-Response Motor gives the NordicTrack 1750 the muscle to handle any exercise program.

With a maximum speed of 12 mph (19.2 km/h) this commercial series treadmill gives you the freedom to run at the top of your game.

NordicTrack 1750 Commercial Series Treadmill - heart rate grips

To monitor heart rate, you can choose between wearing an optional wireless chest strap – or, gripping a pulse monitor on the machine.

The treadmill bed has “Flex Cushioning” to ease the negative impact that your joints would receive if running on a hard surface outside.

Two variable speed fans are built-in to cool you down when you get hot and sweaty.

Two Bluetooth speakers supply digitally amplified sound.

NordicTrack 1750 Commercial Series Treadmill - iPad / Tablet holder

This treadmill also has an optional frame for holding your iPad or Tablet – so, you can watch your favorite Rocky movie while profusely perspiring.

Included is free setup along with a 1 year NordicTrack iFit membership.

The total footprint when using this treadmill is about 79 inches in length and a smidgeon over 39 inches in width.  But, with its “EasyLift Assist”, it neatly folds up to take up minimal space when not in use.  The total height is 63 inches.

What a great warranty!  For the frame and motor, there is a lifetime warranty.  The parts and electronics are warranted for 5 years.  And, repair labor is covered for the first 2 years!

Drawbacks

The main drawback with this piece of equipment is that it has a maximum weight rating of only 300 lbs.  This means, as talked about in Treadmill Reviews – The Best For Less, that it really can only function at top quality for folks weighing in at roughly 250 pounds or less – who decide to jog or run on it.  If a heftier person runs on it, the treadmill’s overall performance may be impaired – but, a 300 pounder walking only will be fine.

The 1750 model weighs in at a little over 300 pounds – so, while it is very sturdy, it is a bit cumbersome to relocate more than a few feet.  There are wheels on the rear of the base – so, to move it, raise the bed and tip it back towards you to get it up on the wheels.  The 2950 version adds about 60 pounds.

Wow this NordicTrack Treadmill looks phenomenal! We have come a long way, we can access the workout to our treadmill now. I have a few questions to ask. Do you need the internet access to watch the workout session? Do we have to pay for the workout videos? Also, do they have a payment plan?

    Thanks!

      Hi Nuttanee,

The answer to your first question is yes – you need internet access to take advantage of over 12,000 workout programs on iFit.com.

A one-year membership to iFit.com is included with the treadmill purchase.  After that, if you choose to continue your membership, the cost is $39 per month.

I had a treadmill for one year and I gave it to my granddaughter due to foot and legs problems. While I had it I used it every day and didn’t want to go outside due to the comfort of running inside away from bad weather. I am still a fan for those unbelievable machines with the 21st-century technology and would get one tomorrow if I could run again. I am not interested to own one for walking only.

      Hi Claude,

You’d be surprised at how much benefit this treadmill can be even for walking.  Think about the ability to walk on not only an uphill grade but also a downhill grade.  This baby can do it for you!

I am a former track athlete and have been thinking about buying a treadmill. Until I read your article I hadn’t given it any real thought though. You did a good job of explaining types of Nordic Track treadmills. What’s not to like? You did a good job of explaining all the bells and whistles that come with this machine. Having one may also spur the owner to be more active in his/her workouts.

You well-explained the interactive touch screen, interactive workouts, personal fitness trainers, scenic global terrains. and the ability to change workout speeds and incline angles. and even the option of off-treadmill exercise incorporated into one’s workout regime.

It was also very helpful to understand the need for a Nordic Track. You told us what to look for and to do research on various options, including price and gave us a link to click into and do comparisons.

This information has made me want to check out purchasing a treadmill. It seems like you love yours. You do have one right? And your obvious enthusiasm is catching.

Thanks for introducing this to me.

    God bless you!

      Hi Ronald,

I’m glad I convinced you that you couldn’t do any better than a NordicTrack treadmill.  They really are amazing pieces of exercise equipment.

Hope they give you as much pleasure in your workout as they have for me!
